Interest is not an opportunity

A rising search term means people are looking. It does not mean they will buy, that you can make a margin, or that you can supply it. Mistaking interest for opportunity is the most expensive error in product selection.

Look at four things together: trend, sales, competition, margin

The trend shows direction, sales show real demand, competition shows whether there is room, margin shows whether it is worth doing. If any one fails, the other three do not rescue it. They have to sit in the same table and be read at once.

Prove it sells before proving it earns

Run one real campaign at minimum cost and see whether anyone clicks, asks and pays. That conclusion is harder than any data platform's, because it spends real money in front of real people.

Turn the check into a list

Answering the same questions in the same order is what makes two judgements comparable. People who choose on instinct also succeed — but they cannot hand that success to the second person on the team.
